I keep reading about everyone having so much fun going to events and parties on the west coast and in the mountains. I'm so jealous! Isn't there anything going on in the midwest or on the east coast?

I sometimes miss the big college town craze.

Even Chapel Hill here in NC doesn't compare but will do in a pinch. Guess 'cause places like UC and OSU are in huge cities to begin with!

If I'm not mistaken, the High Rise is gone--UC is CRAZY hip now, well, "suburban hip"...Myra's Dionysis is still there on Calhoun, if you remember that wonderful little restaurant.

Oh my, the Cupboard...the things that you could find there! When I was a punk I would buy my Manic Panic to dye my hair--and avoid at all costs the "kinky" aisles because I was 15 or so!

A couple doors down from the Cupboard was Alli's Boutique where my cool hippie mother in law was the shop clerk--her best friend was Alli :)

Ahhhh..the memories!!! Everything is gone now and moved to Northside..it's the new "Short Vine".

Any of you Cincy girls ever go to the High Rise Deli? I spent alot of time at UC when I was a teenager and madly in love with my first boyfriend. We also went to a "head shop" called the Cupboard to buy incense and candles....ah the joy of the good ole days.....

Boy, I wish there was something going on 3-4 hours from me. The west seems to be where it's at these days.

Wish you were back this way, too, Anna. Bet you wouldn't recognize it, though! It's soooo changed...and little Burlington? Well, the flashing stop light is there, but all around it is houses, houses, houses!

Jonni,

Sure do wish I sometimes still lived back in Cincy.

Mom and I used to go antiquing at Burlington all the time.

I'll be there in spirit

The IL farmgirls met up last month at the Chicago Botanic Garden and we hope to do again this Saturday. I hope you can find some farmgirls in your area to meet up with!

Near West Virginia? So, 3-4 hours, huh? Bummer. Some of the gals live in Georgetown, in Brown County, Ohio and frequent Adams County, but that's still a ways, isn't it?

Rutland (and believe me it is!) is located in Southeastern Ohio along the Ohio River where the "boot" in the river is.....I REALLY need to hang out with some farmgirls for a while!

Idaho might as well be Egypt!

Where's Rutland, Debbie? We're in Northern Kentucky, about 10 minutes south of Cincinnati--The Burlington Antique Show is this weekend (Sunday)...doors open at 5 am, Miss Wilma, Janice, Jessica (Kydeere) me and a few others will be there at Miss Wilma's incredible booth--we eat, we shop, we eat, we shop! C'mon down if Rutland is relative!
