~~ Oh Miss Wilma!! ~~ I will definetly consider the Farmgirl Gatherin this fall!! -- I know where Greenwood s.c. is, too -- when we lived in S.C., one of the girls in our church married a boy from Greenwood -- they met over one summer at a Teen Retreat/Work Week --

I would really like to check out some of the primitives at the show in June -- tha's something me & Tom may want to attend.

Oh, you have been so busy, Miss Wilma, they can't keep you down. Love the cabin and that is great that you got a good renter. Congrats, love the story behind it too.

Lauri, my son first built the cabin but he wasnt married so he built it for a man, then after he married and moved away he was going to sell the cabin so we decided to buy it for an investment. We then remodeled all the inside and made two more bedrooms. No you dont have to have a lot of special permits in our county. You do have to follow water and electrical codes. Different states andcounties have differrnt rules. How far are from Greenwood SC, there is an antique show there June the 6. Wonderful primitives, I am thinking about doing it again this year. Please keep in touch you might want to come to the farmgirl gathering here this fall

Miss Wilma -- first off, I just love the cabin -- And second, I'm curious to know if you used a house plan specifically for the cabin.

DH & I had thot of using a couple different plans to build a cabin, but lo & behold, we found one thru a realtor, just in our price range, and big enough to hold our junk! LOL!! And ready to move in!!

Did you have to have any special permits to build, or was that an issue? My oldest is wanting to buy either some land, or a fixer-upper, but doesn't know for sure which way to go. I give him plenty of suggestions, but it's his decision to do what he wants.

Love all the primitives you have throughout -- I have tried to keep ahould of my grandmothers things. And am Always on the lookout for more!!

Miss Wilma,
Thanks for the web site early antiques. I love it. My grandparents had a lot of antiques years ago but an antique dealer convinced them to sell some to him at very low prices. Thankfully, he didn't get them all so I still have some.
