Had to work today, but spent time w/ my mom this past Wednesday.
Surprized her with a picked boquet of flowers that grow around the farm. Her favorites are the mountain laurel lining the creekbed, and peoneys that were transplanted from her own mother's house.
Also bought her an annual to enjoy in one of her hanging baskets...and lastly, 12 pounds of FRESH strawberreis we picked up on the way to her and my dad's house.
If it's still possible, let mom know how much she is appreciated.
And for the moms and especially new moms in the group, hope it's a fun and restful day for you
For the moms that have psssed on, take time to reflect on an especially good and or funny memory.

I spent Sunday at a rodeo in Okanogan and then off i went by myself over The North Cascades Highway and it was beautiful.

My folks called last night to say my mom spent at least her mother's day morning in the E R!!! She woke up with a pulse of 120!
OOPS!
Not the way to be pampered by any means!
But she is home and fine for now and will be scheduling an apt. with a cardiologist.
She is one of those super moms who even though is retired, is ALWAYS doing something for others and forgets to take time for herself.
It's starting to wear.
In a sick funny way, we joke about how much time she spends at the Habitat store. Not worth compromized health though, especially since she VOLUNTEERS!
We'll be having lunch together this week and will pick strawberries together on Friday |

Happy Mother's Day...My DH gave me a nice card.(He isn't the father of my sons)but I thought that was very nice of him.. My sons gave me matching corella dishes. After 30 years they decided I needed a matching set. I love them...My youngest son and I spent a few hours with my Mom and Dad so they also had a great time and my oldest son and I took a lot of things out of my attic and living room and took them to the church for the rummage sale next week. So I had a very nice day....

Happy Mother's Day! I had a lovely day yesterday with my oldest daughter. We went to a plant fair and walked around. She gave me a lovely red leather journal and some pens. This morning I had breakfast in bed. At 4 this afternoon my youngest daughter and I are going to watch The Sound of Music together and paint each other's toenails! It's been a nice relaxing day.

Happy Mothers Day!!! I hope everyone has a good day. My Mother passed away 4 years ago, my sister and I since then have called each other on this day and talked about good memories of Mom. This year her daughter and my 2 daughters got on extentions and also had this Mothers Day talk. I think this will be a great tradition. While on the phone my oldest daughter asked if I had read the card her 2 little boys gave me. I hadn't so while on the phone I read it outloud. Happy Mothers Day Nana, Love Noah, Luke and baby #3. What a wonderful gift!! I hope everone had a wonderful day!!!

My daughter came out yesterday with lunch, flowers, candy and wine. You know, all the good stuff. I have told everyone, don't give me stuff that I have to find a place for or dust.
#1 son called this a.m. from CA. Will be another month before he comes home.
#2 son is on the way down. He just lives a couple of miles up the road but works in KC MO. Will be going back to kansas city this evening.
a Couple of grandsons may show up. I have supper ready, just in case.
My mom passed about 10 years ago. She died on Mothers Day. Mixed emotions about today.
