I was at the store about a week ago, and I saw the mother of childhood friends. They lived 1/4 mile up the road from me, in Rogue River, OR. SHe told me that their family moved to Bonners Ferry. Now I have a friend that I have known since I was nine years old. We lost touch when I was 20, and moved to Portland.
I went to visit her yesterday, almost broke down crying, and had a great time. She has two kids, three dogs, a wonderful husband, and is a personal trainer. SHe is going to help me with weight loss! I'm so happy! It's so crazy that we both ended up here. Bonners Ferry is a town of 2500 that is 30 miles from Canada, and 15 from Montana, basically the middle of nowhere.
Her mother is wonderful also, and always worked at a daycare or pre-school, so now I have a babysitter if I want. This is huge because DH and I have never been out alone since Owen was born two years ago.

Although her being a trainer is great, I really am more thankful for her friendship. It is hard to not have any close friends in the area.

How nice for the both of you.. My son goes to the gym daily he loves to work out he told me that he met a man there that hates to go, for the most part but he weighed 500 pounds and went to a wedding and a button popped off of his shirt and he was so embarrased, he decided at that moment to start losing weight. I believe it's been over a year so far but my son said that the guy is down to 180 pounds and looks great.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Trish, that's wonderful! I'm really happy that you have such a wonderful, kindred connection from so long ago--and that you can pick up where you left off :) What a great mother's day present!!!!

We all get heavier as we get older, because there's a lot more information in our heads. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Oh Trish, I envy you. Things just seem to be going your way. I always thought that I could lose weight if I had a personal trainer, and get an old friend back what a wonderful thing
