Posted - May 08 2009 : 1:15:20 PM Well, the four hour drive was worth the wait. The "sister" retirement community, the Bluffs was absolutely beautiful. Going up the drive way above the city of Houghton the veiw was spectacular. I have posted some photos to share.
I "shadowed" the dining room manager David for two days. ..What a nice young man. He was extremely helpful and really knew his position. I am going to have my work cut out for me!
My coworkers made me feel right at home and we shared a lot of stories on the way up and back (a total of 8 hours on the road)!!
We stayed at a very nice place and I had my own room!
I am going to LOVE being the Dining Room Manager at our retirement community "The Harbors" right here in Menominee. I can even walk to work during the summer...
I also wanted to thank everyone for all of the lovely cards that I have been getting in the mail. I am so excited about being Farmgirl of the Month of May!
