Well, the four hour drive was worth the wait. The "sister" retirement community, the Bluffs was absolutely beautiful. Going up the drive way above the city of Houghton the veiw was spectacular. I have posted some photos to share.

I "shadowed" the dining room manager David for two days. ..What a nice young man. He was extremely helpful and really knew his position. I am going to have my work cut out for me!

My coworkers made me feel right at home and we shared a lot of stories on the way up and back (a total of 8 hours on the road)!!

We stayed at a very nice place and I had my own room!

I am going to LOVE being the Dining Room Manager at our retirement community "The Harbors" right here in Menominee. I can even walk to work during the summer...

I also wanted to thank everyone for all of the lovely cards that I have been getting in the mail. I am so excited about being Farmgirl of the Month of May!

Oh Melody! That is wonderful! That is a beautiful place! It looks more like an upscale restaurant than a retirement community! You are going to do a fabulous job! I bet in no time they will be having people come shadow YOU at work!

It sounds like you have lots to learn- but what a ride it will be. And think of the people you will touch. You are correct- your cup runneth over! I am thrilled for you!!
