My girlfriend has the best 2nd hand store. I got a steal on this lovely old blue suede chair. (Tonto thinks it's perfect for napping)
Anyone else finding good stuff?

What a great find, Rosemary! I'd say you scored really well at the thrift. That gorgeous chair looks to be in wonderful shape and I love the style and color...looks very comfortable. Your cat seems to have found that out...lol! I've been trying to stay away from the thrift store, or any antique store. Too much temptation! I really don't have the room for more stuff. My latest aquisition is an antique colbalt blue decorated salt crock/pitcher...can't say I paid a thrifty price, though. :) Your porch (?) or room looks lovely with all the flowers.

Wow that is a dazzler of a chair, the color is so clear and cheerful and Tonto is a perfect accent pillow. I never see snything that large and wonderful at my thrift store. It is just as well, I have way too much crap in my house and barn, and I really should clear my car out. Thrift shops are just so addictive...

Hi Nancy and Diane,
We have a passive solar greenhouse on the front of the house, about 10 x 20". It is my flower garden with potted tomatos, peppers, lettus, herbs and mostly geraniums because they just love it there and bloom year round.
On sunny days in the winter it heats the house. Even if it is 5 degrees outside it will 80 in there and transfer the heat to the house.
We live at 8500", you need a backhoe to dig a shallow hole in the ground so an outside garden is silly, even with raised boxes. I've seen it snow every month!
It is a special place, and I'm lucky to have colour year round.

If great minds think alike Nancy...Your in trouble...When I saw all the beautiful flowers around the chair I wondered also where is the chair placed? It looks great right where it is...very cool set-up.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Rosemary, where do you have that chair? Is it on a porch?

I went out yesterday to several thrift stores and found lots of goodies. Good clothes for the grandkids, even some really cute newborn bot clothes to send to my niece in Col. for her little one coming in July. Found some material and lace, some pretty pins, a little tiny old bird clip thing, a wire basket shaped like a big percolater, a journal and several other things. Ala in all, I had a great day shopping and didn't spend much money. I love thrift stores.

Nice chair, too. Looks like a nice comfy spot to relax. The cat seems to be doing a good job of it. No worries there. Love all the flowers.

I found an old Holly Hobbie doll in perfect condition.... I always had wanted one when I was little! AND she was only $2!
