But just get a freshened up approach. I have decided to change directions in the way I decorate and also, how I dress. Obviously, I can't do this now...I have to concentrate on graduating. BUT I am cutting out pictures, ideas, etc...for when I graduate. I am going to have a fresh start. I am moving from a beachy home (8 years and counting) to more of a clean, French style...with a touch of beachside. IF that makes sense?!? Also, I am going to try to dress a little more lady like. I am looking at some pretty skirts and twin sets. I don't know what has come over me, but I feel the need for a big change.

Heather, you GO GIRL!!
Yes making changes can feel SO good, it can change your outlook on life even! I know it did ME a world of good when I was able to do the same. Changing life, interior, clothes, everything that I love, trying to incorporate in my life now.

Good luck girl!!

Heather, I am right with you girl.... going through the same thing. Finish school a jeans, wifebeater, flip flop girl hoping to dress a bit more lady like. I have pick up a few skirts and dresses, they are so expensive so I tried making one. It turned out ok for the first attempt.
Go with this new vibe, you will eventually find a balance between the new you and who you are in your heart.

your change sounds beautiful. reading your posts the last few weeks, you really seem to be coming into your own. its a long process for some of us (notably me), but it seems as if you are well on your way. i'm sure we'd all love to see photos of this metaporphious.

I always seem to wish that I could change things like that. That I could change the way I dress and live. But, I am so comfortable that I easily fall back into the old ways. I guess that sometimes, for me, this old way is best. :)

Best of Luck, dear friend, in your new adventure!!

Inner promptings toward beautiful change are so lovely - thank you for sharing, Heather - you remind us to be willing to listen to those gentle inward nudges that lead us to perk ourselves up, dress with a bit more girly flare and passion & fancy up ourselves and our surroundings to our own delight! best to you, Nancy

Hello Heather. I understand what you are saying about needing a change. Graduation is the beginning of a new positive chapter in ones life. When my daughter graduated from college back in 02 she was a jeans,t-shirt,flipflops,beach girl. Off to Raleigh she went. Got a great job and needed a complete wardrobe overhaul. First year I made her 9 skirts which added so much to her wardrobe. Do you sew? If you do,skirts are pretty easy to make and don't take alot of fabric. I am always looking for a new piece with a skirt in mind. I also lined each one which took care of not needing to wear a slip which she dislikes.
Wishing you much success.

Heather, Good for you!! I'm sure once graduation is over and you begin your morphing, you will indeed feel like a "new woman" , ready to begin the rest of your life.
You go girl!!

I know exactly at what point you are at right now Heather. It's a wonderful thing to come into this "new" person. We all need a little change. We get wrapped up in this ideal of who we are that we forget that change is a pretty important part of life.

And the planning part is always fun.

Goodness Heather
It seems to me that you are taking your whole life and re-arranging everything and ever one. lol
If it is helping you, That is a big plus
I don't have any ideas yet.
But, you know I am on your side and will check in here and find out how things are going
Seems like changes agree with you
I like the idea of cutting out pictures you think will help you
That is what I did when I was planning my kitchen
I got most of what I wanted ; expect a few things.
I think it is a good idea to plan things out.
I use to not be one to plan things.
But, I believe it keeps one in tune with what one wants in this life.
hugs and best wishes sheila
