Posted - Apr 29 2009 : 4:54:43 PM Dh's company is building right in the middle of Pike Place Market - he gets to go to the market everyday! That would be my dream job - browse the stands for fresh food for lunch, buy flowers for my spouse (LOL)......! That's what I told him and he laughed at me and said they don't take a lunch break, he has to pay $12 a day to park, and they're not allowed to talk to any of the visitors to the market. Now I'm bummed - I wanted to be jealous!

Posted - Apr 29 2009 : 8:19:53 PM Well that's unfortunate - my husband is a carpenter and I know he would love to work on the market, I had heard they are doing some renovation. You could still hint about the flowers - he might have to walk by them on the way to the car:D Amy Grace

Posted - Apr 29 2009 : 8:10:31 PM He works for a drilling company - they are putting a new retaining wall in the middle of the market - by the day care. They're not allowed to talk to tourists - orders of the general contractor - no reason given. Crazy huh? I guess they don't trust those construction guys to speak intelligently.

Posted - Apr 29 2009 : 6:47:37 PM What does your husband do and why can't he talk to visitors? I have to tell you - I grew up in the Seattle area and my vision of my life as an adult always included shopping at the market daily, sigh....Now I have to make special trips across the state to get there.
