Good Mornin' gals!

My hubby is the promotions director at the NUMBER 1 (I'm proud) Christian radio station in the U.S. You can visit it at www.ksbj.org

His job is all about creating new games, contests, getting the prizes and writing copy....he's a funny writer. I asked him if I could use some of his old contests here. He said sure.

"Love Handles" was a contest where a spouse would email to the station their lovey dovey nickname for their honey. During the week leading to Valentine's Day, many different names would be announced during the day and the other spouse had to call in and claim that "love handle" as theirs. For example, the dj would say, "If you are honey bunny, give us a call. Well, there may be several honey bunnies but the one to get the call through first won the prize.

We can't duplicate that exactly but we sure can share our love handles for our hubbies and theirs for us!

So, post here all your love handles, they will be put in a hat and at the end of Feb. one will be randomly chosen for a "couples" prize.

Blessings
Catherine

my hubby is Stud Muffin

My DH probably doesn't remember his real name anymore:

* When we talk about the budget, it's "Dummy"
* In the car while he's driving, it's "Speedracer"
* If I want him to do something for me, it's "Muffin Ass"
* If he's already done something for me, it's "Sugar Bear"
* When I tease him about his manners, it's "Grantious" with an English accent (his name is Grant)
* If he's telling a story about work, it's "Deputy Doofy" or "Rosco" (he's a deputy)
* And during the regular day, it's the non-eventful "Sweetie"

Okay - we call each other "Poopie" - it started out as a joke and we called each other Poopsie and it just sort of turned into Poopie, Poop or P. Sometimes he calls me Big D, cuz I sign my name with a really big D.

I call Dan "Handsome" most of the time but "Big Handsome Self" if I want him to do something: i.e. Bring your Big Handsome Self over here and help me with this. Works every time

I'm Honey Bunny Bundle of Bob, and He's Haliburton or Big Strong Tough Guy.

I came back to add that I call my kids Sugar Booger all the time.

you can be oh so smart, or you can be oh so positive. I wasted a lot of time being smart I prefer being positive.

My husband calls me "sweetie" sometime - nothing unusual. However, a couple of months ago, my little one (2-yr-old) was "working" (playing) with a hammer and wrench - I was standing right behind him when he reached the hammer out to me and said, "Would you hold this, sweetie?" just as matter-of-factly as anything. I laughed so hard! It's true that the little ones pick up on EVERYTHING, isn't it!

It's 6:45 on Sat. morning. I wanted to come chat before the rest of the house wakes up. And I'm about to wake them myself with my splitting side laughter!! These names are so great.

Luanne, you are too funny. I don't think you'll get kicked off, though....on another post Utahfarmgirl was sharing her information about "reading" the energy of names. She made reference to one being called a Master Vibration and as I scanned over it quickly I thought it said masturb..... I'm still here! They either gave me a second chance or thought, "Bless her little heart, she don't know no better" and just had pity on me.

Pamela, no I don't think I can guess what Big T is....you might have to give details!! HA HA

We use Sugar Booger, Pooky and Honey Bear, too. I call my girls Sugar Darlin'. My girls call him Poot and they're his Pootettes.

Let's see....in the prize box so far there are some "lovers dice", candy and a journal book to write love letters to each other in. I'll be shopping for some more goodies this weekend.
I saw some pink fuzzy covered handcuffs (at Kroger grocery store!!!) but thought those were a little over the top.....unless y'all want me to put'em in the box!

Blessings

I call my hubby "Hunk of Burnin' Love" or "Baby Cakes." He calls me Big T (I bet you can guess that one). But if he is one room and I am in another we both just call out "Honey."

Oh Rebekah!! I just read your post and about croaked!! I'll probably get kicked off the forum for sharing this, but we are all "sisters" here right? So here goes: I was reading the posts rather quickly and read yours and I swear I thought it said "Sugar B(rhymes with phoner)!!! I thought "Oh my, that's a lot of infomation for us Farmgirls". I went back and re read it, now I'm as red as a beet as I type this!!! Luzy

Okay when I first saw the title of this post I thought you might be talking about weight loss, boy was I wrong. Okay, my husband isn't home right now so I have to do this quick.

He is HoneyBear - because he uses honey in his coffee and has a little honeybear.

Mine are (I have two) Pooky or Polkadot Butt (because of some PJ's I had that had you guessed it, polkadot's.

Wow , these names above warm my heart. It is so sweet to see how we love our men, and they love us.

For me, my pet name for hubby is Cody. His for me is Sunshine. We always thought we would name our son Cody, but we never had a son. That is okay, cause we love our girl.

Cody, wierdly enough, comes from the word Kodak, since we wanted to let our love develop, and did not want an instant picture of it, like those cameras that spit out photos that develop before your eyes. I know, groan......:)

oh boy...
Sometimes: "Davey wavey littl' cupcake Dave..."
And ocassionally..... ummmmmm..... "Fartman" (frequently sung to the old Batman TV series tune). I have a name too, but it isn't as memorable.
Most times we just call each other Sweetie or Honey.

Okay, here goes. Sugar Booger. We saw a comedian do a bit on this name when we were dating and it just stuck. Also, Sweetie PD (his initials). Funny, but we never, ever call each other by our real names..it's always Pumpkin, Darlin, BabyDoll, Precious, CutiePie, etc. I'm enjoying this thread.

I call mine "Hercules" because he's always telling me, "Oh you shouldn't do that, you need a big strong man to help" so I assume he's trying to refer to himself !! LOL Actually he is very strong and helps quite a bit. His other name is "Poopsie McStink". Don't ask.

I call my DH Baby Darlin' or Big Daddy. LOL
By the way Catherine, LOVE the game!
I'm also headin' on over to ksbj to check things out! We are big Christian music fans. Our oldest son will be playing at a church in Colleyville, Texas on Feb. 17th with his band, Slingshot57.

...and I will sing at the top of my lungs, and I will dance, even if I'm the only one!
