I have to do my ENTIRE work history, starting from 1991.. The job I had before I went into the military, I was laid off. How do I approach that? Just put dates and then move on? Do they need to know that? Thanks.

I agree with both of them. Keep it consistent all the way through so it doesn't look "fishy" when you leave something off of one or two jobs but not the others.

I guess it depends- are you putting reasons why you have left your other jobs?

You could tell that it was layoffs, that way it doesn't look like you were job hopping. Sometimes have a few jobs, makes it seem like you aren't steady.
Hope that helps. Of course, the decision is up to you.
