Thought some of you gals might be interested in this neat story about one lady's adventure moving southwest in the 1800's.

What a great link! I remember learning when I was little about burning buffalo chips. I felt so bad for the kids whose job it was to collect them! But what a resourceful way to use what was available, eh?

I too enjoying reading about those days
My great grandmothers told some stories ; well a few from when they were little girls
I need to write them down before I forget them; but ; I forget to write them down
Maybe, I need to write my self a note to write the memories down in my journals.

Thanks, Lynn, for posting that! Very interesting. She made it sound so easy, traveling for two months to get to Texas! I like the part where she says they "had to" use buffalo chips. That is as close as she comes to complaining about anything.

Lynn,
I just read the story about the pioneer lady. It is very interesting. I really do enjoy those kinds of stories about how our country was settled.
Thanks

What a wonderful story...imagine all the things she left out of it!

Thanks for sharing!
