Posted - Apr 22 2009 : 07:49:12 AM I've started a new blog (see the signature link below) more as just a way to journal my thoughts recently, but it has turned into something more.
I've posted my thoughts on Earth Day and what I wish for our little one, Violet, today and for Earth Day in the future....

Posted - Apr 23 2009 : 09:05:28 AM Thanks, girls! I don't know why I started a blog except to say that I have a lot of words in my little noggin. Sometimes I'm the only person who wants to listen :)
Thanks sooooo much for the comments and checking in on us..
Janice, what a great story about Dave's tree. I would love to see a picture of it!

Posted - Apr 22 2009 : 12:59:51 PM I planted 15 redbud trees, but I had to do it last week, when I was at the farm. I did 'talk' to an 8 foot pine tree that we moved from the house in town years ago when I was there. It came home with Doug when he was in the third grade one Earth Day and we've had it ever since. It looked kind of Charlie Brownish for a while(backyard too shady), but it's very happy now. It's filled out and gotten big. ;)
I left a comment on your blog. It's beautiful!

Posted - Apr 22 2009 : 09:39:19 AM Thanks for reading, Rene. Earth day has been a big day for me since my first in 1991, and I want Violet to know it as a sort of "holiday" as well, where we can celebrate our earth and give back.
