Will be having a book signing at Ditsy's in Oakesdale Friday May 1 at 2:00 p.m. Amy is a Palouse farmgirl who has written a book called Summer Snow that follows the life of 4 very different rural women and how their lives collide.

I am hoping to make it over with some of the Prosserfarmchicks and thought it might be fun to see if any one else wants to meet up and support a fellow farmgirl in the success of her newly published book.

Here is Amy's blog http://amywarwick.com/2008/12/20/summer-snow-book-sheet/

Hi gals! I am eager to meet you all and I am so excited that you get to meet the great female characters of Glendale! Mary Jane: I can swing in and sign your copy whenever you want me to. Can I bring your book and get a signing from you as well? I am often in Moscow and Coeur D' Alene and have yet to see your store. For those of you that have not seen Dick Warwick's spoonfoolery in MJ's store, you should check it out. I am very proud to have such a talented father-in-law and could not live without wearing his hair clips while I bake and garden.

Amy Grace: Rosalia, hu? I am so excited to meet a farm girl who is "just down the road!" Yes, there will be copies available for purchase at the signing or you can order one now. You can view my website for information on ordering signed copies, or you can order online at Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble.com.

Looking forward to the signing...

Amy

Hi Amy, from another Amy on the Palouse - will you have books available for purchase at the signing? Or should I order one?

Amy, I ordered your book on Amazon--will try to bring it to you May 1 for a signature. (I couldn't wait until then to get my hands on it.) If not May 1, I'll find you on the 4th. Can't wait to read it!!! (I just know I'm gonna love it.)

Rene and fellow farm girls~

I finally got signed up. What fun this is. As for the question of what do women on the Palouse eat? Right now, Spaghetti and some homemade rolls that I "rose" (not sure the proper word on that one!) next to my wheat burning stove. I can't wait to meet those of you who can come to the book signing on May 1, and for those who cannot, you can order from Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com, or we still have about 50 of the signed copies here and I don't mind mailing them to you. Being an Oakesdale local (yep, I drive by that famous flour mill every day to take my son to school) I will be signing more books on The Fourth of July as well. I look forward to talking with you all!

Michele,
I do believe the pioneering spirit is still very much a live in the women of the Palouse which is just one of the million reasons I can’t wait for farm fair. There is something magical about standing along the road and viewing the miles and miles of rolling hills, planted with barley and oats and wheat that somehow convince you, ANYTHING is possible. I will try to bottle you some up and send it to you.....please know that you will be missed and that we will leave a seat for you... Just in case..............

What do you gals in the Palouse eat???
There is so much creativity and liveliness there I can hardly believe it.
Can't make the FFF this year but am definitely coming in 2010. Maybe whatever you've got is contagious and I can get me some.lol

Do they? I have heard tell they also sell shoes in the northern part of the state, closer to civilized Ohio :P....

I wasn't sure if it was a regional publisher or what...thanks for the info! I actually wouldn't mind if you could swing a signed copy, so let me know if that's a go!!!
