I know that most of you already know that the Home Companion mag ended with the Christmas 08 issue..but I thought you might like to read her letter to her subscribers (I was one)....

http://www.maryengelbreit.com/MEHC/default.aspx

She had plenty of subscribers but the big companies couldn't justify the advertising dollars in light of the housing market...

I hope she comes back with some kind of mag..I loved it.

Stephanie

I was wondering why I could no longer find her magazines anywhere. Thanks for clearing up the mystery Stephanie.

I never was a subscriber, but I did pick up an occasional copy at Wal Mart or our local grocery store if something in an issue caught my eye. How sad.... but, you never know! Like "Victoria" magazine it might just get "ressurected!!" Lets keep our fingers crossed shall we? ~~~ Tracy

Thanks for the link to her letter. I was one of those gals that no longer get her magazine. It was such a wonderful and informational magazine.

Katie,

I looked briefly through the website and didn't see anything about back issues but you can do a google search for her back issues and bet you'll find some.

Do you think I might be able to find a back order of the magazine? I've always liked Mary Engelbriet's work, I've even gotten a chance to see her store when it was here at the Mall of America.

Katie,

If you love her calenders then you would have loved the mag..it was the same whimsical fun with decorating and she always featured artists..that the part that was always nice..to see the owners of these magazines promote those with so such talent to help them become known and prosper too.

I guess that's why I love the Stampington & Co. magazines..they are all about networking artists.
