Hey Ya'll!

Have you ever started your own Independent Consultant business
(examples: Tupperware, Longaberger, Party lite, etc)?

I just started my Longaberger business and I was curious if anyone had some good suggestions on how to reach new customers.

LOL! Merry I think you are right about the varnish! I adore them, that's why I started selling. I want them all over my house :) Everything is prettier in a Longaberger. Thanks for all the advice everyone.

Longaberger is one of those products that will sell itself. Everywhere you go take a basket, every potluck use the stoneware. Ask friends to host and sweeten the deal a bit beyond the usual hostess benefits if they have a certain dollar amount or more than three bookings. Oh, get lots of email addesses, the online deals are pretty good, and could get people hooked.
I love longaberger, I think they put crack in the varnish! Is there anything better than unwrapping your new basket?

I have been a Tupperware consultant for 7 years. When I was starting off, my upline took me "friend finding". We went into several neighborhoods and knocked on doors. I told those that answered that I was introducing myself & my new Tupperware business to the neighborhood. Told them that if they didn't already have a consultant that I would be honored if they would consider me. Asked if they needed any service, like replacements, left a catalog with them and went on to the next place. Didn't try to sell anything or book parties, just introduced myself.

I got sales & parties both after that, and some are still hosts and customer today.
