Not from there - but have vacationed nearby.

If you travel just a bit north to Long Beach there is Ports of Call. We love to go to lunch on the pier. It's the perfect place if you love fresh seafood. You select what you like from the counter then take it to the cooking area and pick which way you would like it prepared. Grilled, fried, sauted etc. We then like to walk up and down the pier looking in the shops. Sometimes there have been booths outside with handmade items. (It may have been a festival that we happened to be there for.) If you google Ports of Call I'm sure you'd find something on it.

There are also lot's of Missions in the area. I remember visiting the old missions with my Gram & Great Aunt when I was in high school. Beautiful gardens and the buildings themselves are stunning. I want to say they date to early 1900's/late 1800's.

Have a wonderful time!
