Awhile back, someone started a thread about a show that a British gentleman does about buying a house in the country, raising pigs, chickens. He is a chef and is homesteading. Can anyone else remember this and if so, can you direct me to the name of the show?

Okay you guys! It's all your fault!

I started watching this on my computer screen & then 6 minutes into it, decided I had to have it! I went to Amazon and ordered the DVD of the episodes of Escape to River Cottage!

Can't wait to get it!

I have been able to watch all episodes of the different shows Hugh has done (river cottage not the cooking shows) on www.factualtv.com. I did a search for River Cottage and everything comes up but in different chronological order. We actually watched everything in reverse. oops.

Is it Escape to River Cottage with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall? Here's a link to the show. (Just be sure to choose the large screen view or you have to look at some rather questionable sidebar items. :(

There are also a few episodes of Cook on the Wild Side that he did. Great shows, all of them.

Nope, he is a good looking guy that moves from the city, buys a villa in the countryside, he buys a couple of pigs and some chickens, has fun shooting pigeons and then cooking them up for his friends. He goes fishing for crabs with roadkill bait, and gets into a drinking competition in the local pub.

This is all done in a series of 1/2 hour shows that I watched on YouTube and now can't remember who he is. He may be on BBC, but not sure about BBC america. I think he would call me "daft".
