The whole month of April is the tulip festival in skagit Valley. We have had a very cold spring this year so the Tulips are a teensy bit lat but the Daffs are fields of gold.
April 17, 18 and 19 is the 25th Annual Tulip Festival Street Fair in Mount Vernon, Wa. the town blocks of the main downtown streets and tables and booths are set up and it is a lot of fun. Come on over if you can.

I love Skagit Valley it is such a beautiful area. We drive through there about every 3 years or so on our way to the San Juan Islands. I love the town of Mt Vernon too, so charming. Thank you for the lovely photos.

Oh, Mary Beth...you DID have to post that one!!!!!! I'll be rolling in just about the time the festival is over but the fields will still be covered with colors and I'm soooo looking forward to being back in Washington for the summer! Hope to see you soon!

I posted some pictures of my garden in my blog, hopefully it's not all washed away with all the rain we've had up there! LOL

Having the tulips being a little late will work for me, we're going to see frineds in Marysville and sister-in-law and her husband the week following the festival. For those of you who live nearby we are going to stay one night at the new Cama Beach State Park on Camano Island right on the water. Can't wait! JoAnn

Boy that is beautiful! Thanks for the pictures. We've had a weird spring here, not sure how the tulips will do, it will be a few weeks yet before they open.
