We here in my part of Virginia called this roses
Bubbie Rosies.
I am not sure ; but some people say that is the sweet briare rose bush
in Wythe county where we are orginally from we called them
Bubbie rose bushes
they grew wild in the mountains and the forest there
beside our cabin where I grew up we had one
it was a dark wine colored rose.
it had a strong sweet smell.
So, who knows the right name.?
Can we still get them?
hugs Sheila
