Posted - Mar 26 2009 : 6:16:19 PM BLONDE!!Yep, I have a LOT of white hair...yes white that when I color it brown, I end up with a skunk stripe within the first week of coloring. I went 2 shades lighter- a dark blonde and it has been 3 weeks and it still looks decent. I just have to find the right tone. I have olive skin color, so it is tough. I never thought I would be a blonde!!!

Posted - Mar 27 2009 : 11:18:32 AM Heather ,
Go for a semi or demi-permanent color rather than permanent. I was talking with a gal at church that is a Hair designer and she told me that permanent color actually strips any color or pigmentation from your hair and then replaces it with new color. The demi-or semi-permanent coloring just deposits color. I wish I had known that years ago before I damaged my hair. Now I am trying to get my natural hair color back. I long for the day when I have it, and I don't mind a few grays :)
I think an Ashe Blonde would suit you better too.

I had a hairdresser once get mad at me because I wouldn't tell her who had done my highlights. She finally got it that they were natural and I hadn't had a job done!!

Posted - Mar 26 2009 : 6:26:02 PM Well I guess it will go with my sun loving ways!!! : )
Actually, I am like Nora that when I was younger, my hair would lighten up so much in the summer that people thought I did it on purpose. Yeah, like some 7 year old is using Ms. Clairol!! : ) Though I did use Sun In once.

Posted - Mar 26 2009 : 6:22:23 PM Ummm...Is that a good thing??? : O HA!! Just kidding!! Nope, I was a medium brown my WHOLE life but this white/grey over 60% of my head, especially in the front, is annoying me!!! I found the lighter hair blends easier with blonde. It is scary but I am gradually lightening it.
