Posted - Mar 18 2009 : 6:22:13 PM I heard a little while ago that she died of her ski accident. Just wanted to make mention - as a family, we love The Parent Trap, the remake in which she plays the mother - so for us, she will be missed... |

Posted - Mar 21 2009 : 08:44:46 AM I am a huge fan of her family and her husband. I cried when I found out. So senseless, someone here said - that was my first thought also. So very sad.

Posted - Mar 21 2009 : 06:51:19 AM Debbie, you are so right, no one never knows when thier life on earth ends. I always told my sons no one takes anything with them when they die, just thier name. So make sure your name is always associated with good.
Hope all your days are Sunnydays. dianebcarterhotmailcom.blogspot.com |

Posted - Mar 20 2009 : 6:24:13 PM Leslie - I feel the same way about someone your age - she was born May 1, 1963...I am July 15, 1963...same age. As a Christian, it makes me want to let others know about Christ's work on the cross on their behalf - we don't know the amount of time we have here. I saw that they gave a tribute on Broadway for her, with Liam Neesan there being comforted...I am very sad for him and the whole family. |

Posted - Mar 20 2009 : 1:57:31 PM Her tragedy should make us all stop to think about how we can be here one minute and gone the next, so we should make each and every moment count for something and be thankful for it!
My thoughts are with her family!

Posted - Mar 19 2009 : 5:38:02 PM This really made my heart sink. I feel so bad for her family. She was a beautiful person and seemed very nice and down to earth. The fall seemed so benign...I used to ski and how many times have I fallen on more difficult runs? She was with an instructor and on the beginner slope, it seems so senseless. It just goes to show you how fragile life is and can be taken under any circumstances. My heart goes out to her family. Very sad.....

Posted - Mar 19 2009 : 10:18:08 AM This is so sad. NOW I understand the over-the-top concern at the hospital last year when I fell and thunked my head on the bathtub. They wouldn't let me leave for HOURS because I had a massive headache. And I hate it when people close to my age die. It makes me feel so vulnerable. I'm so sad for her boys. Can't imagine the ache they must be feeling. :(

Posted - Mar 18 2009 : 8:46:17 PM I just finished reading The Handmaids Tale a few days ago. Natasha Richardson played the part of the Handmaid in the movie that I think was made in the 90's. And, I remember her in Nell.
What a tragedy...

Posted - Mar 18 2009 : 7:54:02 PM I didn't know her acting but knew she was the daughter of incredible actors (The Redgrave family), and the wife of one of my favorite male actors, Liam Neeson. I'm very sorry--what a terrible thing to happen, and while on vacation with her son. So sad. |
