Posted - Mar 18 2009 : 10:40:44 AM Hi all! I'm not entirely sure who I know here anymore. I sort of fell off by the wayside for a time. internet boards got a little boring for me for a time. But I'm back! I've got another baby in tow and goats and rabbits now and a few more learned hobbies!! I am still loosely blogging over at gaiarose.wordpress.com so come on by!
I still have an etsy over at forestfaeries.etsy.com though I am still on maternity leave and have yet to list anything this calendar year.
So I mentioned another baby in tow...I gave birth at home unassisted again, to Degory-Rune Dustin Mirick on December 5th. He came in only 1 hour and 45 minutes of labor, the fastest yet of my babies, the biggest yet at nearly 10 pounds, and the earliest of my late babies (he was "due" on thanksgiving day.)
So that's the latest on the front of the famous witch on the farm!
Hello again my farmgirl friends! hello!

Posted - Nov 21 2017 : 3:25:25 PM Well gosh it sure is funny how I pop in from time to time over the years! LOL and how much changes in that time....
SOOOOO Now I live in St. Paul. I have six children now and homeschool 4 of them. Grace is a sophomore in HS, Zoe is a 6th grader, Degory-Rune is a homeschooled 4th grader (he would be 3rd in public) and Gabriel, Lilly-Anna and Henri follow him ages 5, 3 and 2!
I am vlogging at RadicalMothering on Youtube and keep a photo log on IG using the same name.
I am doing my farmgirl thing still but in the city... How are you ladies!?

Posted - Mar 23 2009 : 5:58:35 PM Tasha, Ok I didn't read all the posts! First and foremost: the boob man shot had me choking back my glass of wine! GORGEOUS! Seeing your beautiful daughters...Beautiful..the story of his name..I had no idea and I don't know, it made me teary..It is such an unusual name and it is so powerfully meaningful! I LOVE it! It reminds me of my son Reo. When I don't my mom, she said to me, "UGH! Why can't you do anything normal?! She said it in jest but not really..." When I told her the meaning of Reo's name, she burst into tears! Reo stands for Rolla (my husband's dad's first name) Eugene (my dad) Onias ( an uncle of mine who was killed in WWII at the age of 24. R.E.O. I'm thrilled he has such a powerhouse name that will always keep people wondering and present! ~julia

Posted - Mar 23 2009 : 5:53:29 PM Tasha My dear! I think of you so often! I have a twisted regret for not seeking you out and letting you know just how often you have crossed my mind. I think of you in that gorgeous skirt with the landscape scenery, path and footsteps was it? In any case it was wonderful. I have you in my mind reading a book to your daughter. I have you in my mind celebrating all things pagan, witchy and wonderful.
I send you my love, my happiness and my welcome to your newest member. I welcome him to the light. Most of all, I welcome you back. My how I have missed you! blessings to you and blessed be always!~julia

Posted - Mar 18 2009 : 2:26:03 PM His name has quite an interesting story. Some of you know that my husband, Rob is a Mayflower decedent. He descends from three of the signers of the Mayflower Compact. One of those signers was Degory Priest. we looked into the names in the geneology, ('tis good to has three geneologists in the family on both sides! lol!) and NO ONE has been named Degory since Degory Priest. So Degory it was. Now Rune is the name of the son we lost between Zoe and Degory so Degory got Rune as part of his name. My reader mentioned to me that Rune is a constant companion to me and Degory, so it seemed fitting. Dustin is Rob's middle name. So there you have it. Degory-Rune Dustin!
He has my coloring but is Rob in every feature! It's quite funny!
