Just wanted to check and see how you'alls New Years resolutions are coming along?????

I still haven't had a soda this year!! I can hardly believe it myself!! I never thought I really could do this. But I sure have been drinking herbal tea like it is going out of style!!
I keep thinking that if I ever “Have” to drink a soda again, I wonder if I will even like it.
I feel like things taste a lot better now, I wonder if soda was dimming my taste buds?
I really think this is a life change for me, I sure hope so!!

I gave up soda with my second pregnancy with the exception of hot Dr. Pepper with Lemon juice when I have a sore throat. If you feel that you REALLY want to have the fizzy which was my hardest thing to get over, Try mixing plain seltzer water with the fruit juice of your choice.

you can be oh so smart, or you can be oh so positive. I wasted a lot of time being smart I prefer being positive.

Hey Gals!

I have cut back from a pot of coffee to just a few cups. I've also stopped the afternoon pot of coffee. We've all realized that I'm wired whether I have the coffee or not!

My cholesterol is naturally kind of high so I'm adding milled flax seed to everything I eat in hopes of some help. I already bake with the stuff and thought it would taste icky if I added it raw to things. But, it's great! I sprinkle it on cereal, add it to smoothies, etc... I tell ya' this....it helps with more than cholesterol....better than Metamucil (sp?) if you need it!!

Best of all, I've been snuggling with my kids several times a day and spending time outside with them. I'm lovin' it!!

Blessings
Catherine

That is fantastic, Bridge! Keep it up...I have never liked pop much, but i do like to unwind with a glass of wine or a beer in the eve, depending on the season. I have gone without either for about two weeks now, and have stuck with the diet and lost 6 pounds so far. I think when I reach 10, I will have a celebratory glass of red wine.
Good luck to all of you that are sticking to diets...

That is such a good one Bridge!! I havn't had any this year since I hardly ever drink soda in winter anyhow..but I think I should just stick to that. I drink lots of water but in summer slip into having a Dr. Pepper now and then..my husband on the other hand is ADDICTED to the stuff!!
