This morning I had a serious rant and rave about pants on my blog. I invite those brave souls who are curious to see what I am so worked up about to visit my blog. *S*

First thing that ran through my mind when I saw the saggin britches was that it reminded me of what a baby looks like with a "loaded diaper." That is not a cool look. Poopy pants. That's how it looks. My DS and her DH never allowed their two sons to ever wear saggin pants or their shirt tail to hang out. Always tucked in to their khaki pants. They never even wore jeans to school. Actually never owned a pair. It wasn't a problem for the boys. They even thought it looked stupid to run around like Gumby holding your loaded britches up like a dang fool.(My description!) They also "never wore their hat in the house or backwards.Tracy

News flash!!! If you are a young white kid in Vermont you are'nt from the Hood!!! My other pet peeve is Tube tops on gals who are big!!A tube top might look cute on a thirteen year old.Thongs are a type of shoe in my book; one you wear to he beach. As a nurse I've seen hundreds of people without their clothes and most folks look better with most of them on!

I totally agree with you! My boyfriend does this sometimes (yes I am younger...20) and I always tell him to pull his pants up. It doesn't look good at all. It's weird and I just don't understand it at all!

I have been known to walk by younger cousins and yank their pants up and tell them it is gross! I also made it clear to my DD that she will NOT be wearing low riders with everything hanging out. I am lucky though, she is modest enough not to want to dress "trampy".
If it comes up, I will not let her out of the house without changing.

I don't like it either. No one needs to nor wants to see undergarments or worse.

I don't get it either, luckily neither does my 16 year old, his waistband is where it should be at his waist!

I have to resist the urge just to yank those pants down to the ankles of those kids. I agree why bother even wearing pants if they're half way down your backside.

I know what you mean! It really is disgusting. I was watching AI last night and Kanye West was on. When he came out I was really surprised that he had on nice fitting blue jeans that were around his waist. Really surprised. Then he turned around. He had black under drawers on. The whole back end was down and his undies were showing. I don't know how they stayed up unless they have a certain kind of belt. But from the front he looked normal. Go figure.

And then to see overweight girls and even older women wearing tight pants with their bellies and hips pouring over the sides is so pitiful. I just could not do that. It's just pitiful. I hope I don't step on anyone's toes, but really, it's pitiful.

Yup, I agree too. It is an awful sight to be seen, by both boys and girls. Hate it!!!!

I so agree.... I do not want to see the underwear of every young man in America, nor do I want to see granny's "tramp stamp" or her thong.... YUCK!!!

I'm like Rene~~~my 16 yr old son and his 17 yr old cousin have both been pants'd by me! Why bother wearing jeans if your undies are 90% visable?

And for those girls/women who wear low rise pants and a thong...they make low rise thongs so the rest of the world doesn't have to see em'! And for the record, I wear low rise jeans and low rise thongs, and would DIE if my crack showed! It's all about finding clothes and underwear that actually fit.

Your blog was hilarious!

We see this A LOT in Oakland, and I always have to shake my head. It looks so... Pointless and uncomfortable!

If only these young men realized how utterly goofy they look... I see guys running across the street all the time who can barely move their legs because the crotch of their jeans is down around their knees. They have to hold their pants up with a fist clutched into the groin area...they look like toddlers who have to pee running to the potty. Not the tough guy, "just got out of prison" look they're going for at all.

UGH.. Been there - done that. Of Course my kids aren't so lucky as to have a quiet MA... as I have been known to run by and pull them down around their ankles... which has "cured" the problem, or so it would seem.

I don't enjoy the view either! I too wonder why some people show off their crack to the world. We all have them, but for goodness sakes there is no need to air them out in public!
