Does anyone else here watch the River Cottage show from the UK? There have been several iterations, and while the newer ones are about Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall's big farm and restaurant, the original shows are about him making his way on a smallholding and learning to garden, forage for wild food, and raise pigs and chickens. It's also part cooking show, so there's a lot of farm food prep.

I love this show!

Thanks for letting us know about this show. I think BBC has the best television around. I wish our PBS stations could afford to put more of them on.

Yay! Glad that you will all enjoy them. I'm totally hooked.

The guy has a bunch of really good cookbooks out too. Very farmstyle - fresh, and organic.

After a little digging, there are some places you can watch some of them online:

There's A BUNCH of them here:

Watch then fast, though, because TV keeps getting yanked for copyright stuff...

Oh my gosh! Why don't I know about this show? Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall is always on Gordon Ramsey's show! I think he is great! Why isn't this on my BBC America?!
