The scariest thing I did already today was to tackle cleaning the boys' bathroom.

I've made it a goal to do one big thing every year that truly, truly scares the snot out of me. I've done it for six years now. I don't think I could handle doing even one tiny thing every day that scared me. lol

Alee, my 2 yo was right beside me one minute and six aisles away looking at apples then next. I turned to answer a question from my 5 yo, turned around, and she was gone. We were near the door, so I looked there first, let a cashier know that someone walking out with a kid with bright red hair and mismatched boots was walking out with a kid that wasn't theirs and then frantically searched the store. I have no idea how she got there so fast, but it scared the ever-livin' crap out of me. You've heard the saying "To be a mother is to forever have a piece of your heart walking around outside your body"? Good lord, that's true.

Karen...I really don't know! Gives you something to think about though huh?

I just finished reading a book called Lucy by Ellen Feldman....It was about FDR's mistress. I would have liked to have known Eleanor. She was a very strong woman.
kpaints Posted - Mar 05 2009 : 07:21:05 AM
Oh my gosh, Elenor Roosevelt said that????!!!!!!!! That woman...unbelievable. I have seen one or two quotes from her before and she surprised me then too. Hummmm I think I need to read about her life. I will do something today that scares me...what are you going to do Melody?

Yes! Nora dropping my hand and running towards the parking lot at the grocery store. Luckily I have quick reflexes and I grabbed her and dropped the groceries!
