OOOHH, Heather, you will be very close to Nashville, too! That area is really beautiful. Sorry you are leaving Texas, but the Hopkinsville/Ft. Campbell/Clarksville area is very pretty. Still fairly country, but close enough to the city to be a bit urban, too. Have fun!

Thanks Lainey!! I would probably be joining all ya'll in late summer, depending. : )

I'm not familiar with that area, but we'd love to have you as a Kentucky girl!

What is housing looking like in that area? Anyone know? We are looking for something small 3br/2bath with basics. Prefer more land than house. : )

Thanks for the invites!!! : )

Ft. Campbell/Clarkville is a nice area. There are some undesirable areas which is typical of any town. The college located in Clarksville is Austin Peay State University. Murray State University has a satellite campus located in Hopkinsville, KY, which is right across the state line from Clarksville and MSU also offers classes on base at Ft. Campbell. Check out the Murray State website for their graduate program. I am presently working on my master's through Murray. I'm not sure about Austin Peay and their grad program. There is a lady in my weekend class that works for Austin Peay..I can ask her about the grad program at Austin Peay if you would like.

Heather would you be stationed at Ft. Campbell? That's only 45 minutes from Nashville, TN and about 2 hours from Miss Wilma. I'm 1.5 hours due north from Ft. Campbell. It's a happening place. I know your still taking classes. There are 2 universities within the area and both are great schools!

That would be great news to hear Heather! Yeah, there are a lot of UK Blue up here...but shhh....I have a Texas Longhorn Football shirt hanging in my closet! ;-) I despise UK for several reasons.

Keep us up to date on the latest news!

I'm in Northern Kentucky--about 15 minutes south of Cincinnati (Ohio). We are within an hour and a half from Louisville and Lexington, and about 3 from Miss Wima :)

I really love the state--you couldn't ask for a prettier place...even if you DO bleed Orange. Gonna have to get some new gear, girl, if you head up this way!!!

C'mon down!!!! I love this state, so much so that I came back here after living all over this country, in England and in Ireland..I still miss England very much, but Kentucky reminds me of it in many parts.

Woo hoo--you TOO can bleed blue :) Sorry, had to throw out some UK Wildcat boorah.
