A few of the girls here sell those solid lotion bars, they come in those really cute little tins. Well I knew they were great for hands, but how about my face? I tried it this morning before I put my makeup on. I think this might be a really good thing! I will let you know in a few days. Going to use it tonight as the night cream thing.

I've been doing this for a while too, I make my own with Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil, Calendula Oil and Beeswax (I sometimes add Sweet Almond oil, shea butter and jojoba oil too) use it for both face and body and sometimes (VERY sparingly) to tame the frizzy hair... and it works great for my sensitive skin and great on my face. I've noticed that even though I tend to have oily facial skin, it seems to keep my face from breaking out, when I don't use it for a few days, that's when I'll get a pimple... go figure... My grandmother used to tell me that the only thing she ever used on her face was baby oil and in her 80's she had hardly any wrinkles, so I thought I'd try the oil thing too (just healthier oils and mixed with some beeswax to keep it less greasy!)... Sorry, I never thought about sharing the info before either!

I did the lotion bar last night and my skin feels so soft today. It has been so dry this last year. I have very sensitive skin and use only organic type stuff, I used Burt's Bees Hand Salve. There is even some left on my face this morning.

A new use for the lotion bar!! Thanks Nancy for sharing. I make them and I've never thought to use it on my face. My skin has been so dry this year, especially on my forehead. I finally did a sugar scrub, which can be kind of harsh, and am putting straight almond oil on my face. Think I'll get out one of the lotion bars and try it. One of my customers also uses it as a natural deoderant - she says it works great.

Gosh I've been using them on my face for about a year...never thought to share!!! I tend to get very dry red skin in winter and the lotion bars that I buy soothe my face wonderfully w/ no adverse reactions.

Let us know if you break out in pimples from it. That's my biggest problem. I have sensitive skin too, but never had pimples until I got in to my forties. It is difficult to find something that won't make me break out, even though it makes my skin feel soft.

So far so good. Had it on under my makeup since about seven this morning. Face feels real smooth and no reaction. I have senitive skin and some thing make my eyes sting, or I sneeze. So this is working for me so far. Like I said I will use it for night time coverage and see how that goes. Boy if this works it could get rid of a lot of jars around here.
