Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 06:11:32 AM Esp. in the BEEHIND, lol. It feels like steel and my saddle feels like wood OUCH!!! My legs are SO tired, ah poor me, BOOHOO! I have even switched shifts for the next 2 days so I can go by bus, YIPPEE!!I will work in the afternoon instead of morning so the bus can do the work and I can relax. On the way back I will have a long ride because I first need to go to another town, switch buses and then walk a while. But prefer that to biking at the moment, lol
The ride this morning was pure torture: it rained real hard, I had a lot of wind against me ALL the way and it was C O L D !!!! Way back was not too bad, mostly side wind and sometimes I had wind with me, so I got home a bit earlier then yesterday. But still. NO more biking for me for a while. Next week I can take the morning shifts again because then the earliest bus will go at 7.30 Am so good enough for me. Plenty of time to walk the last half hour and still be on time. YAY!!
Sorry for the vent, just had to, lol

Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 12:20:15 PM My church friend just called, she was curious as to how my work days went so far. SO told her about the bike rides, lol. AND about the bus tomorrow and Thursday and that the way back would be long but way better than biking and that I didn't mind the "longer" bus ride and the extra 2 miles walk.
Then she told me she would talk to her husband to see if they could pick me up at 5 o'clock (after work) to take me home by car!! SO that would be great IF that happens. If not, that is fine too, it is the thought that counts. It is sweet isn't it!! YAY for church friends lol.
Will keep ya updated, I will know tomorrow morning "if and when"

Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 10:20:51 AM I don't think that I could ride a bike, and then work... all the walking that I do at work is a workout in itself, I'd have to have ems following me if I tried that.

Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 08:57:20 AM Marian, you are such an inspiration. Getting out there and doing what you have to do to get the job done. Here in the US, we would sit there and not take the new job because we "didn't have a car". Good for you!!! Vent all you want, we'll listen. |

Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 07:16:43 AM I agree! I would cringe at the thought of having to bike that much! I would be sore too! It probably would be really good for me though! LOL
