Ok normally I don't let things get to me but this week has been horrid.
My sweet daughter decided to help out with the laundry (yes that is good) but she put 3x as many clothes in the washer than I usually do and burned out the transmission on my 2 year old washer.. then the clothes needed to be dried right so she took the sopping wet clothes and put them in the dryer.. When I opened the dryer there was about inches of water in the bottom of the dryer so needless to say she fried my dryer.. in the mist of all of this I get a phone call that my grandfather had passed away.. he has been in a nursing home and was 96. I was there in December and he was well they even took him out of the critical care ward and back in general care. Well they put him back in critical care.. did not contact me... knew he was close to going.. called everyone else even people that are not responsible for him but did not call me!! Oh I was so angry they call me for every little thing in the past.. he gets a bruse and they call me but when he has hours to live they call his niece that has nothing to do with him!!
I plan the funeral.. I have a Uncle that is in a nursing home because he fried this brain with drugs.. I call him to make arrangements to take him over to teh funeral and to see if he would like to participate in any way and he goes all haywire and starts cussing and calling me every word that you can imagine???? He spends the next three days leaving horrid voicemail messages.. So we finally get to the funeral 3 hours away.. I pack 5 kids and my husband up and we go. My uncle comes to the funeral and tries to start a bunch of junk... I ignore him and we proceed as usual.. Everything was fine..
Then we are headed back home because we do not have nayone to milk the cows so we have toget back here ( 3 hours from the funeral) and the transmission on my van goes out!! It is about 7 at night.... We scramble find a rental car place.. get a rental ven at 250.00 a day and try to drive home. We get here at 2am.. still had to milk cows.... the cows were no where to be seen... they got out while we were gone and were at teh neighbors.. we finally got them milked.. What ayucky week!!!!

That's the worst week I've ever heard of. Glad things are looking up and the washer/dryer came back to life. Try to take things easy for a little while!

Heather, I'm glad to hear things are beginning to look better for you. You probably still can't laugh at the w/d incident, but you will later, it brought a chuckle to me as I could see my daughter doing that and not realizing...thinking she was helping. God Bless her.
As far as your uncle goes, you have to realize that with his mental illness he doesn't know what he is saying or how hurtful he is being, let it go....he isn't himself.
God Bless you and your family.

I am glad you got the w/d fixed, that in itself can be such a stressor! It's hard to look for the positive when in the midst of such trials--- so I am happy that things are looking up a little bit this week!

Well things are better.. my awesome husband took the washer totally apart to see if there was a way to fix it and was surprised to find a that a sock had gotten in between the washer basket and the tub of the washer, with the sock there it would not spin he took out the sock put everything back to together and it works!!! Yahoo! He then decided to check out the dryer took it all apart and found nothing wrong so he put it back together and it worked!! He thinks that everything dried out and now it is drying clothes like a champ.. Yesterday we went van shopping. I was needing a larger van to make CSA deliveries and for the farmers market. We found a great 15 passanger van for under 1000!! I will drive this untill we figure out what to do with the other van.. so things are getting better.. I am still haunted by my uncle and all the horrid things he said. Severe mental illness is scary stuff he seems to not have any natural boundries. I am glad he cannot leave the place he lives..
Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers!! My washer and dryer were fixed by the power of prayer!!

Heather, I am sending you lots of good wishes your way. Hoping and praying this next week is much better. I know it seems like one thing after another bad thing happens and it never seems to end. but it does and thing s do get better. I hope you get the washer and dryer fixed or find a great deal on another set. Hey, now would be a great time to get those nice front loading machines! I want those so bad but I'll have to wait til mine bite the dust.

I have goats. And I know I am a nervous wreck if I am not home at milking time. I know they are always ok but I feel so bad. And they know it, too. They make me feel guilty, all whiny and all. Like where have you been?? I am glad the cows were all ok and they got milked. How many cows do you have?

Have a great week. Kris

What a terrible time of it you have had, I am so sorry for the loss of your Grandfather. All those other things on top of that! You must of been a wreck. I know I would have been. Here's hoping that you have many good days just waiting for you.

Hugs, MJ

This is the beginning of another week Heather, Put the past behind you, I am sorry you missed seeing your grandpa before he died, Remember the last time you saw him.How good that was. Honey, you cannot change the past, pick yourself by those farmgirl bootstraps and move forward..count the blessings you have and I hope you feel better this next week. Funny you know, someday you will look back at all the other things that happened , the car, the washer, the dryer, the cows getting out,,and believe me you will laugh..Something will replace these bad feelings...

Heather, I just looked up Higgensville on the map. I am an hour west of Joplin. Was looking to see if I was close enough to give you a hand. Porbably couldn't have got there in time to do the milking but sure wish someone could have been there for you. I guess the best I can do right now is to send you our prayers and hope for a better time ahead.

Heather, I'm so sorry for the passing of your grandpa. You sure had a lot piled on at one time. I pray that good things are to come for you and your family. A quiet week sounds good.

Oh Heather - I'm sorry. What a horrible combination of things to deal with, taking all the different parts of your patience/endurance etc.
Here is hoping that this next week goes better and you are able to recuperate a little,

What horrible things you've had to deal with. I feel for you, to not be notified that your grandfather is at the end of his journey is so sad. And to top that off with all your other troubles, you be good to yourself, girl. I hope things improve soon.
