Our little farmgirl group got together yesterday and did some mending. I got a pair of pants peg-legged, a vest taken in, and some new elastic put into a skirt. Then we wrapped 10 pounds of brownies to send to Iraq. I'm sorry to say there would have been more, but we ate the ones we deemed "rejects"...quality control is key...hehe...

So I decided to bake one more batch of brownies to top off the box before shipping. I'm telling you this is one compacted box of individually wrapped brownies. That way, Nathan doesn't have to worry about cutting them and when he passes them out if they don't have time to eat then then, then can put them in their pockets....no mess! I froze them all so they would stay fresher en route and wouldn't it be wonderful if when they opened them on a hot 105 degree day in Iraq, that they were still frozen? JOY OF JOYS!!!!!

Do you think that package could be diverted to my house? Okay I guess the guys over in Iraq need them more...but it sounds like a yummy package to get! Can you imagine this buff UPS guy drooling as he hands over a package stuffed with 10lbs of brownies. :D

It is important that you send "only the best" to our servicepeople. What a great packaging idea!

Good work!

What kind hearts you ladies have. I really liked the part about quality control. It works for me. Keep up the great service (I mean brownies).

Sounds like a fun and productive day, Debbie. And after all, you all needed to eat to keep up your strength to get the work done. ;)
