I read about the service a few years ago, but this is the first time I saw the advertisements. What ever happened to the county fair as a matchmaker? i for one wouldn't expect a happy ending from a web dating service, but it is an interesting concept. the comments left on that forum along with my recent move really struck me by how varried this country is culturaly. we talk about American culture, but even among Americans of the same race or basic way of life varries so vastly.

Okay, so I was feeling just a little crazy (maybe it was all that math homework I was doing) and visited the site and what do I get in response? A farmer-wannabe! Someone who wants ME to teach HIM about farming??!! Huh?? Besides that he is halfway across the country from me. Geez, at least I didn't invest any money in it and I will fade into the sunset in a few days. What a hoot! I've been involved with someone who thought they wanted to be a farmer and quickly changed their mind once they found out it wasn't a 9-5, M-F job!

You can take the farmer's daughter off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the farmer's daughter!!
