Yes another banner day at the thrift. I wish some of you could go with me, I don't have room for everything! It would be a big help to me.
Snowing to beat the band, but I went anyway. The store was really full of good stuff today. The only thing I didn't find was a 100 wool something. But I will, then I can try that felting thing. So I posted pictures. Now I will go do a few loads of wash, Love that new soap, make some brownies, pick Heather up from work, etc.

Nance in France Posted - Feb 04 2009 : 03:18:19 AM
Marian, since we are an 8 hour car ride from Paris, that is not a "spur of the moment" notion, let me tell you! I DID get to go to the famous Saint Ouen flea market in Paris in 2004 when I visited my future husband for the first time. That was my first visit to France, and I told him I did not care what else he planned, but I absolutely had to go to the Paris flea, since it is the oldest in the world, and visit Monet's home in Giverny!

Our village has a spring and a September Vide Grenier ("empty the attic", literally) and I always go and find great stuff. On Valentine's Day a town not too far away is having a big brocante sale, so you know I have put that on the agenda!! Hugs to all, Nance

I always love to see what you find Nancy when you go thrifting. I absolutely love going myself and have found some wonderful things over the years. Did you know you can go to http://www.shopgoodwill.com and shop all over the country? I've got some steals there too and its all for a good cause. Makes me feel even better about spending the money.

Oh-wow! Lovely things as always. I so love the sewing box! Don't you just wish that pieces like that could talk and tell you their story? Thanks for sharing!! I agree with everyone else. I wish I could go thrifting with you, too.
