Posted - Jan 30 2009 : 07:22:46 AM Posted pictures of a beautiful tablecloth my Aunt Glenda made years ago, and my cast iron Amish people. Boy It just won't stop snowing and blowing here. But even so, better then the awful ice and no power that some of the girls here are dealing with.

Posted - Feb 01 2009 : 2:25:34 PM Cindy, Thank you, and maybe if you just folded your Great Grandma's spread over the end of your bed, or over a rocker, you could have it out where it could be seen. Don't hide it away. Nancy Jo

Posted - Feb 01 2009 : 2:00:51 PM Hi Nancy, what a beautiful table cloth. Also your people are great too. I, also, have never heard of them, but would collect them if I ran across them. BTW: your house is lovely!
I'm very fortunate to have a handmade bedspread that my great grandmother made. I haven't put it on a bed yet. Guess I'm afraid it would get ruined in some way. One of these days.
Thank you for showing us. Cindy

Posted - Jan 30 2009 : 6:00:28 PM What a beautiful tablecloth, Nancy. What a great heirloom! I'll bet those Amish people are a lot of weight on that shelf unit. I hope you have good sturdy nails into studs!
