I went into A Scarlet Thread with a friend yesterday and what did I see? The Bee issue of MaryJane's Farm! Lots of them. :) I can't think of a better place to carry MaryJane's magazine than a quilt shop, especially this issue!! Yay! Pretty soon it will be everywhere. :)

I am totally hoping to find the fabrics locally (not that we have any but a very very small quilt shop within 15 miles..but will for sure be getting some next trip up north to the city.
Hey..is there a place any of you know of so far that I could order online? I LOVED the peek of the fabrics in the latest issue of MJF magazine..just my taste exactly!

Debbie,
My next collection, Grandma Had a Wild Side (coming out in the fall), will probably fit your style better.

Well I never thought I'd say I was disappointed by ANYTHING that Mary Jane comes up with. I was hoping her fabric would be a collection of "New Age Farmgirl Calicos and Prints" and it was mostly bold, retro stuff....bummer. I guess my tastes are weirder than most.

I can't wait either. I have yet to find a store here in OK that carries MJF magazines, although I did find the books I had already ordered online. I hope I can find the fabric when it comes out. I wish I could quilt. I have all kinds of quilting squares, but am not really sure what do to with them.

MaryJane - what a wonderful idea - and the name of the next collection - "Grandma Had a Wild Side!" I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I saw my first swatch in the June issue of American Patchwork & Quilting today. Little roses on a whitish background. Lovely to look at and can't wait to see the rest.

What great news......I love to quilt. Boy, I sure look forward to seeing the fabrics. Will they be available on your site too, MaryJane? I say that because our city does not have a really good quilt shop.

I've yet to see anyone here in Chicago carry it but my subscription just kicked in and I'm eating up every line in the 2 issues that I've received. I LOVE that magazine.

YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! I can't wait for the fabric, I can already tell that I'm gonna have to go get a part time job to support my fabric addiction!!!!! LOL ...And by the way, Our Quilt shop, nor our feed stores, nor our groceries in this area sell MJF Mag....BOO!!! They haven't even heard of it, everybody just looks at me like I'm crazy....It's probably the little tear I get in my eye everytime someone says "Nope, sure Don't, butcha might wanna check So and So's to see if they have it." This is a very rural area....has an awesome Quilt shop that is huge, they have a big clientel out of Dallas/Ft. Worth that come out for weekend quilting retreats!!!!! But yet NO BODY has heard of MJF?????.......Ahhhhhh......I have so much work to do!!!!!!! LOL...Kelley

And here's the cat out of the bag, Karin. Next May or June, you'll be seeing an entire line of fabrics called the "Farmgirl Collection by MaryJane Butters" in quilt shops across the US including a few foreign countries!!! We've put a mighty number of hours into the making of it, with Gabe and Denali sketching their hearts out, and me pulling ideas and color swatches until many a wee hour. I can't show you yet but do note, it's a farmgirl's dream come true. The whole collection has about 25 different fabrics--something for lining your kitchen shelves, making new curtains, pillows, bedding, aprons, wall plaques, slip covers, quilts--anything and everything can get "farmgirled up" with what we've created.

P.S. And soon after the launch of my first collection comes another called "Grandma Had A Wild Side."
