Posted - Jan 19 2009 : 08:50:44 AM I just love reading the topics here and feel so connected. So many times people just don't get why I would like to knit, crochet or bake my own food. When I am feeling a little lost or down I just go on and search and always seem to find something that is of interest to me. We are just starting to farm, husband grew up on one, so I have lots to learn and lots of work ahead of us. Beyond me how people say they would be bored to be home all the time. I work at the school so have the summer off and nice breaks but look forward to being home all the time so I can "be bored"! HA Rae

Posted - Jan 19 2009 : 09:31:15 AM Well, Rae, you enjoy that new farm of yours. It's a good thing that your hubby grew up on one so he can show you the ropes! I never understood how people could think it was boring to stay home, either. I am soooo looking forward to retirement so I CAN stay home and do all the stuff I have to try to squeeze in now. I still have another 20 years to go. But, I have so much to do and so much that I like to do. These people must not have any interests, hobbies or imagination!

Posted - Jan 19 2009 : 09:20:41 AM Rae- I don't live on a farm(wish I did!), but I know I get the weird comments when people see me knitting in public, but more often than not, those comments are far outnumbered by the ones who tell me how they wish they knew how to knit, or how seeing me knitting brought back memories of their grandma/mom/aunt/etc.
As far as being bored at home, who has time to be bored when you're cooking, cleaning, and creating! I'll take that kind of 'boredom' any day!
