Posted - Jan 11 2009 : 08:55:16 AM And you know what was so funny?? I saw him again, today!! I was talking to my pastor's wife. She came for a visit to see how I was doing because I didn't go to church. And while we were talking, she saw him too!! The second time, in 2 days!! I don't know why he was still wandering about though, don't understand either.
But to me it was a true miracle, silly maybe. But I have been having such a wonderful weekend: friend A's visit yesterday, the peacock, the extra parcel, my friend A came by with a hot dinner for me this afternoon and we talked about Jesus for a good while, visit from my pastor's wife AND the beautiful peacock!!
I have been truly blessed this weekend !!

Posted - Jan 10 2009 : 2:38:47 PM Oh-my-goodness! What a proud fellow. My mom's neighbor use to have two. They would escape and end up in her back-yard. They are so beautiful. Sad to say they can also be kinda mean...Flannery O'Connor (a southern writer)use to use them as "watch dogs" in her yard.Have you ever heard them yell? It is the strangest, mournful, sound. (Kind of reminded me of something from the jungle) Anyway, I digress....thanks for sharing!!!
