Oh how wonderful it was to read about our very own Julia Hayes (on pg.43) and about her talents/gift to be able to communicate with the hearing & visually impaired.....and there is also a very lovely page of Julia's musing about her precious daughter, Aria. (on pg.32)

I am so enjoying reading this month's issue and I am planning on stitching up some of the wool sweater projects... Oh & Miss Katy you look wonderful in your pumpkin spice wool sweater.

"I WANT MY MOMMY!!!!!! lol!
my mom called yesterday to check in on us and the fist thing outta my mouth was, "Mommy, I wanna come home"... she told me to "suck it up ya big baby!" hahaha, just kidding.
The winds are raging right now! but on the bright side I can see the tips of my lavender plants,,,,just hoping that they are alive and not frozen twigs!
I am going to brave a trek into Spokane tomorrow, I have some errands that need to be run so I am keeping my fingers crossed for no rain, at least none between 10am-2pm....wish me luck!

Now I really cannot wait to get a copy. I still have Aria's picture on my refrigerator and every time I pass her, I whisper, "Get well." A book from Julia would be perfect.

Is MaryJane just the most generous person or what???!!!

Gracie you are so sweet to post this. I was blown away. Ardis is just extraordinary and that picture was taken at my first Farm Fair. I was so clueless back then and am just slightly more clued in now getting ready for Farm Fair 2009! So much fun!!

Rene, you are a champ and a cheerleader for me! Here's hoping someone in the book publishing industry reads those excerpts and thinks it would make a good book too! This is what MaryJane does so well....creating opportunities for others!! I'm just beyond certain that if its meant to be it will be.

I haven't devoured every single page yet but there are some pretty striking things so far:

The story of MaryJane's friends Sara and Bobbie...I want to BE them!! Bobbie's experience and my own seem similar to me somehow. I resonated very deeply with that story.

Meg's picture introducing that section of the Magazine. Is she wearing the lace/linen piece that belonged to her grandmother? Made me think of her.

The picture of the little girl with butterfly on her arm. I gasped!

The picture of the little girl dress like a bee...How cute is that?!! That dress and those little wings. Heavens!! Is that Bella?

Man, I could go on and on..just extraordinary. I don't know about you but all the vintage art and drawings scattered on every page delight every single fiber of my being!

I just LOVE this magazine...cover to cover a work of art and love!!
Three cheers for MaryJane, Carol, Meg and all the amazing contributors!! ~julia

Grace,
I felt the same.. I loved seeing and hearing about Julia's adventures as well. I cant wait for her book to come out, what a blessing that will be to all who have to travel the roads she and Aria have been down and as well to those who just love them so very much and want to rejoice with them.....

How are you surviving the snow? I hear the temp is warming up and the melt down could cause some havoc as well.
