Ok ladies, I'm already PLENTY weird but this snow, which I love and the fact that I've been homebound for a long time with 3 little kids is starting to get to me. Here's the deal: I left the farm last night for the first time in 10 days straight! I went to the movie store of all places! I just wandered and wandered around probably looking like a deer in the headlights. I can't remember the last time I went to a movie store. There wasn't one that was familiar to me. It was so weird. Anyway, so 10 days ago I went out to take Aria to her clinic appointment and that had been my first trip out and about in a week. So, in the last 17 days I have been to the hospital and the movie store. I am COMPLETELY pathetic!

I have to admit that I'm starting to get the grumbles something awful. The kids are whining and totally ready for a change of scenery, although there really isn't anything I want to take them to do that is worth driving on these roads and exposing Aria to God only knows what.. so here we are....They're probably just fine and it's just me that wants to hide in the sewing studio and play!!

I've made more playdough than I can remember...I've been sewing a little again, which is huge and and and the best and coolest thing that we're all doing together for the first time in a year is.....We're dancing!!! We're playing music again and we're dancing! Makes me want to cry just writing about it. We haven't had any inclination to dance, sing or play our instruments in this year. Amazing...

So much good good stuff, but I'm needing.....gosh I don't quite know what I need...a manicure? nope. A massage? nah! A dinner out? yep! I think I'll start there. We're actually going to some friends tomorrow night for dinner and I've warned her that I haven't been socializing with people for a very very long time...feeling reclusive and strange!!!

Is it just me or do any of you get this way...the more you don't socialize, the less you want to and so forth? lol. Really, I'm fine, just getting a little loopy and I haven't even had a glass of wine yet!!! Cheers! ~julia

Julia, yep, the cabin fever is definitly hitting us girls who have been snowbound off and on. I am thankfully for 2 whole days of not shoveling. REally really thankful and I have been told I am permanently off shoveling duty, Fibro fits had a lot to do with that, along with dd and dh who said, no more, gently but firmly.

Thinking of farm fair, Hey, I like the head dress idea, how awesome and can't wait to see what you do.....

Grace, no playing on that crazy road woman, we would have to find a way to dig you out.....lol

Rene! You are so sweet! Gracie, you do not want to drive down Hayford Road unless you are in some kind of Army corps of engineers vehicle!! Crack me up.

Rene...I am totally thinking about Farm Fair. I just got my application and am putting together some pictures for submission. I hope, hope, hope I can be a vendor. I'm going to apply, hope to be accepted and then just see what happens with Aria. It is giving me something so wonderFUN to look forward to!

Flapper dress??Right, it's a 20's theme right? nope, I haven't gotten it together but I totally have a great idea. I have the PERFECT head piece. Does it have to be a flapper dress or will anything 20's do. In any case, time to get moving on that little project...got to get my beads in order!!

I'm better after having just mentioned to you all how I was feeling. Funny how the paper this morning talked about cabin fever. I was feeling a little guilty that I was barking at the kids a little too much. Clearly a sign that my spirit is a little unsound. I read recently a great question/answer: How do you know if you're a deep spiritual person? Answer: How often are you irritated in the course of a day? I resonated with me and I know that when my fuse is short with my children, I've been neglecting my spirit.

It is just GORGEOUS out here today. The sky is crystal clear blue. It is freezing cold but the snow is sparkling and brilliant. A new day...a whole new 24 hours...what a gift!

cheers my friends and thanks for coming into my cabin and giving me a cheer! ~julia

pull my hair out, cause i feel stuck in the house but wouldnt care if it was nicer outside and i could get around the yard or anywhere cause up to your knees is not easy to go sledding and forget about making snow angels. i miss getting out and visiting people like me cousin but there is no way i am gonna get to fairfield cause sometimes the roads are closed there and i dont wanna get stuck out there. even my kids are getting restless. so i hope school wont be cancelled. i wont be sending them until i know that the roof has been cleared off though, scarry with all of the collapses and unsound structures lately.

good to know that your doing better and can dance though julia. god bless you.

Wierd?
I guess all of us are that are not use to this weather....but, we just had 4 more inches, now 22 inches in all, I get that way also....getting out, even if it is just in the yard, tht helps..today, we went to our DDs and made a sled run with our 2 Grandboys,,,(3 & 4) YEP!!!!! Grandpas needed it, the 4 year old and I made snow angels(I am 51 and Grandpa is 57,)....couldn't hardly get up, but, the 4 year old and I LOVED it, just fell backward and laughed and laughed, ate snow and got more sun than in the house,,,IT WAS FUN!!!!!
Than DD had hot chocolate ready and candy canes to stir with and of course marshmallows,,,IT was sooooo much fun......
Your not wierd, just need a change of scenery....sometimes....

hey Renee,
do you have access to some Roarin' 20's dress patterns? I have been searching hi & lo w/o much luck.
I can "create" something based on old pictures but would prefer to have an already printed pattern if possible.

I love the edible playdough. Used to make it all the time for my kids.

I know what you're saying about not socializing in awhile. Me, too. I have been sick and just want to be home. I've just seen the kids and grands. I have talked to a few friends on the phone, but that's not the same. And actually, the longer I am away from people, the more I don't want to be around them. Weird. I do like being home, but need to be with other humans. Animals aren't much help. And I spend too much time on here.

hugz, now go dance like no one is watching! sing like no one is listening and have fun w/that playdoh!
