Posted - Dec 22 2008 : 06:57:03 AM Boy did we get snow! Still coming down today, with lots of nice wind to blow it around. No last minute shopping for me. All I really need is all the last minute food things for Christmas Eve that you can't get ahead of time. I think I will have Richard take me Tuesday night when he gets home from work. I took a few pictures. Gotta say as much trouble as all the snow creates it sure is pretty.

Posted - Dec 22 2008 : 7:20:58 PM Wow, Nancy Jo...you got LOTS of snow! How beautiful! We got ice here last week and it's not looking good for the kids coming from Iowa to here for Christmas...snow storms expected up there starting Tuesday and they were leaving early the next morning. Oh well....as long as they are safe and well. I have enough food now until SPring! Your tree is so pretty....I have white lights but need to get some colored because I like colored lights the best! I miss the snow but not the cold....it has been unseasonably cold here! It is only 21 right now and windy. We're supposed to get rain for Christmas. I hope you and your family have a wonderful, cozy Christmas!

Posted - Dec 22 2008 : 08:42:14 AM I don't know which is worse--all this snow or the cold temperatures. It is 9°F here now and supposed to get up to a whopping 22. We haven't seen above freezing temps for going on three weeks now. I'm ready for Spring and planting, etc.

Posted - Dec 22 2008 : 08:38:14 AM We got walloped with snow here as well, but my snow plow guy has come and gone so at least we can bust out of the house if need be. I love tha snow, and I'm supposed to get my can back tomorrow, then I can have the snow tires put back on it, if I can find them in the barn....
Your little birdhouse looks so sweet with that heavy icing of snow....It does look beautiful today, the sun is out too so it is really sparkling, so much nicer than the large expanse of brown. I love it when the big evergreens droop into the middle of my road and make the tunnel of trees.
I trust you will have a lovely holiday....Karin

Posted - Dec 22 2008 : 07:54:39 AM I know it's a lot for you guys up north, but we're a bit jealous down here in Kentucky...we've had VERY cold weather (3 today), but they say a "wet" Christmas and 43 degrees...blech. To my knowledge, the song doesn't say that ANYONE is dreaming of a "wet" Christmas!!! |
