When I got up this morning, I found a letter from my youngest DS sitting on my laptop. I bawled like a baby after I read it.

Here is what it said:

I cannot explain how much you have done for me. You are my best friend. As a grown man I now see the sacrifices you have made for me, Melanie, & Justin(those are my other 2 grown kiddos). I love you more than I can ever explain. You have sacrificed everything for us. Your love and wisdom has brought me further than I could ever guess. You are my best friend. You have stood by me, and the faith you have in all of mankind is an inspiration for the rest of my life.

You are my mother and father in one(I'm divorced from his dad, and dad was never much of a father to him) and I am proud to be raised by you. Your smile and laughter is my light in life; without that I would be blind. You have stood by me through the dark and the light. You really are the best thing that has happened to me. I am so proud of you and the love you have towards the world. Only if people could see the feelings of love and forgiveness that you have.

I love you mom!
Chris

That is a beautiful letter. What a wonderful gift. It is wonderful when children realize the sacrifices we make and appreciate them. You have raised a wonderful son.

Wow, Diana, what else could top that? That's all a mother needs. To have the love and respect of her children is the best thing ever. What a great job you've done.

WOW! What a tribute to you. And to him, for being so thoughtful. Not many kids can put their greatful thoughts into words. He is very talented at expressing himself.

THat is so sweet!! My DD gave me a card like that the other day!! She said its not much mom but its your Christmas gift. After wiping the tears I hugged her and told her those are my favorite gifts the ones from the heart. Anything purchased from the store could never mean as much to me. I love those moments!!
