Posted - Dec 09 2008 : 2:12:58 PM Ok, so awhile back I said I needed to stop collecting sewing machines....and honestly I really ment it! but the flesh is strong & the spirit is weak, least ways mine is!!!! Sneak over to my blog to see my latest vintage sewing machine Hubby & I found tucked away at a local Spokane Antique shop....now that was on Sunday mind you.... today via FedEx my early Christmas present from my sweet hubby arrived...(I'll post a picture of it later this week)...It is a Used (way to expensive to buy new) Bernina-Deco 650 Embroidery Machine. So if you don't hear or see me for awhile it's because I am playing with my machine....probablly embroidering anything that is not nailed down!!! lol! Ho Ho Ho!

Posted - Dec 10 2008 : 06:23:52 AM Grace - Your 'voice' in your posting sounds like the glee kids have at Christmas when they get just the thing they asked for! :D Good for you! Even though I'm not a 'sewer', I think $200.00 for a featherweight is not a bad price. I saw one sell at an auction a year ago and I think it went for between 250 and 300. And I've seen a couple in shops here and they were more than 200. They are a pretty machine.

Posted - Dec 09 2008 : 7:18:13 PM hey Linda....hmmmmm, embroidering my ironed brassieres....hmmmmm....thinking, thinking,,,, Firemama, keep those links comming....ya just never know! lol! I love hand (x-stitch)stitchery but it will be fun to 'expand my horizones'......with the new-used embroidery machine too! I luv my vintage ones and I even use several of them. Hubby is nearly done with the 1940's sewing table. It's all striped, just need a few good dry days so he can stain the table & seat and then it will come into the house & be reunited w/it's Singer....oh dear! where will I put it???? yikers! Running outta room really fast! Saw a Singer (maybe 1940's) feather weight, but they wanted $200 for it...so I passed on it (for now!) Ho Ho Ho & Bingle Jells!
