Posted - Dec 07 2008 : 08:07:43 AM As most of you know, my Gdaughter Kylee is living with me. typical 14 yr old. Sweet and loving one minute and THAT ATTITUDE the next. I have 4 daughters, who were all teenagers at the same time, so no big deal. She wants to decorate the house (inside) this year and has already started. SURPRISE GMA!!! I like to decorate a certain way but I figured this will help her know it is her home too. Tell me I am right!! So I will take pics when she is done and praise her and post 'em here. MB

Posted - Dec 07 2008 : 1:29:56 PM I think that is so neat that she, at 14, would even want to do this. It will be great. Maybe she'll become an interior decorator, like my little 9 year old GD. She comes over and rearranges rooms and I just let her. When she's gone, I fix it back for the next time she's here! It's so fun. Enjoy!

Posted - Dec 07 2008 : 08:22:11 AM I understand teen age girls too.. Good for you GMA to allow her to be an individual.. Think of the memories you are creating with her. Just the fact that she is interested in decorating "her home" is a great accomplishment for your relationship.

Enjoy the little things in life....someday you'll look back and realize they were the big things. |

Posted - Dec 07 2008 : 08:17:22 AM Sounds like Kylee feels at home already. Good for you. They grow up so fast that you'll be decorating "your way" before you know it. |
