Posted - Dec 05 2008 : 7:41:59 PM I was working on a crocheted for my ds for Christmas, and I stopped to read some of the posts on here and of course, reply. When I went to go back to my project, I couldn't find my hook---ANYWHERE! I looked in boxes. I checked to make sure it wasn't hanging from the sweater parts, I stood up--didn't fall out of my lap and I wasn't sitting on it. With a big smirk (and yes, the kind of smirk that you know they are dying to really laugh out loud but they have a secret so they can't) my DH asks me what color it is. He busts out laughing when I told him it was blue. He then pointed out that it was stuck in my hair. Oh yeah, I put it there for safe keeping so I wouldn't lose it or forget where I had put it. :P

Posted - Dec 06 2008 : 4:29:26 PM Jessie~That is so funny. I can't begin to tell you how many times I have done something like that. I seem to lose my crochet hook all the time. I forget where I put it down. Sometimes it's in the sofa cushions. LOL Ruth

Posted - Dec 06 2008 : 2:52:50 PM I am so glad there are people like me around. It makes me feel like I'm not altogether crazy. It is scary sometimes, though, isn't it? Like, did I really just have them or was I just thinking about it? So it's not an age thing then, either. Because I know most of ya'll are so much younger than I am. I think it's more a busy thing.
But I am losing things all the time.

Posted - Dec 06 2008 : 11:44:38 AM LOL Something like this happens to me all the time and of course your DH usually sits there laughing at you. I usually miss place my scissors while I wrap the Christmas gifts. They are either under a discarded piece of giftwrap or I placed them behind me. OK so sometimes I might be a little forgetful.

Posted - Dec 06 2008 : 11:42:45 AM That is so funny! I do those kind of things all of the time. I hide things or I will put something where it will be safe and then I can't remember where I put it.

Posted - Dec 05 2008 : 9:13:40 PM Oh yeah.. I do it all the time.. I explain it by saying "I have so much on my mind it can't keep up with my thoughts". Usually it's my glasses.. I push them up on my head when I don't need them & forget where I put them...retrace my steps & sure enough a soonas i ask Dh if he saw where i put them..he shakes his head & says " Duh... on your head? "
