Christmas baking yet???
I don't fix to many things.
I baked an old fashioned applesauce cake yesterday and
put it in the freezer.
It took an hour almost to fix.
another hour and 30 mintues to bake.
The house smelled liked Christmas.
I have one of those ex- large Kitchen aid big mixers
I am glad we brought it; because it helps.
So
Have ya started yalls baking yet?? Sheila

I have got to get started on mine really soon. Mostly I make candies, but some cookies too. I have about 26 different kinds of cookies and candies I'm making for gifts this year and there's anywhere from 1 to 3 batches of each kind. I always try to start the weekend after Thanksgiving but I haven't even made it to the store yet to get everything I need. Well... my kiddos are spending the night with grandma tonight. I guess I could bundle up and head off to the store. It's just so cold and dark. Bluck.. Maybe I'll get myself talked into it.

I don't start my holiday baking until nearer Christmas. If I started now, all the gluten free stuff would be either hard as a rock or would be incredibly stale. So, I start baking a few days before the holiday.

I must get started on my sugar cookies..after the Beef jerky gets out of the oven today. I have made several batches for gifts & Dh asked " where's mine?" so I am making another two batches. one for his brother too...
I made two batches of carmels and had to hide those from "me"

I made cookies for my husband and his co-workers on Tuesday night (sugar cookies with crushed candy canes and candy cane butter cream icing), but that's been about it. I don't give baked goods for gifts, mostly canned jams and preserves.

I used to do my holiday baking early in December, but after DH kept eating all the cookies I don't do it til it's closer to Christmas and then I hide them so he doesn't find them!
