Found the perfect place for my new gifts. So Of course I took a picture.
My Aunt Glenda, she is 93, said, "go buy yourself a new sewing machine and send me the bill". Now isn't that something, that someone my age still has someone older to buy me things? She and her sister used to make all my school clothes, and doll clothes, and take me on all their vacations. etc. Amazing to think she is still here for me. My sawing machine finally gave out. Its an old touch and sew singer. I have had it for 40 years. I got it when MY oldest child was two. Kind of sad to part with it. But this new one is a dandy.I have been without a machine for several months, so I'm glad to be able to sew something again.

Yes, My aunt Glenda is really something. Still drives,'KIND OF SCARY'. gets her hair and nails done, goes to quilting, plays cards, and usually wins. She will be 94 pretty soon.
Trying to get inspired to sew something with the new machine. I just sit there and look at. Kind of like a new car, your afraid to drive it.

Nancy-jo how delightful & precious of your Aunt to bless you with a new sewing machine...
BUT..... don't toss out your old Touch-n-Sew, make it into a lamp or something....you two share way too many memories!
(knowing you, you will find a perfect lamp @ a 2nd hand shop, attach it to a wooden base & set the sewing machine in front of it on the base)....
