The day before Thanksgiving and I've just been hit with the ""my house is way too small for the two of us"" panic, after talking to my mom...who is coming in this afternoon to stay the weekend.

Anybody else having last minute holiday butterflies??

Mom was telling me (in no uncertain terms) how exactly the whole operation (aka, Thanksgiving dinner) was going to be run. Ahhhh!!!

Had to log in here for my sanity check, lol.

I'm absolutely dreading the holiday this year. My husband somehow got us roped into driving his mother's moving truck on Thanksgiving day. She's moving in with her daughter in another state. This whole spring, summer, and fall has just been hellish. I don't know which of these two women is harder to deal with. I can't stand to be in the middle of another family fight, and I'm not looking forward to being condescended to by my sil and her well-to-do husband either. I'm going to be walking on eggshells the whole time. Fortunately, we are turning right around and coming home on Friday. So it will be a long couple of days on the road, but at least I won't have to spend much time with his family.

Good luck, Jodi. At least you are spending the day with your own mother, and I presume that you two love each other, right?

Hugs to you Jodi.
I have stress every day here.
Not from Mom
She doesn't live here.
( But, sometimes I do.)
Sometimes, I think it is best just to try to smile and get alone
that is esepecially hard when one lives every day in a stressfull family and there are no other options.
Hugs to you
Hopefully the Holiday will pass quickly, pinkroses

Where did my post go? I hit subscribe so I'd remember to check back later and my post was gone. Oh well, here's what I think I wrote:

Oh Jodi, hang on tight for the ride! And as much as possible, remember that your mom is coming to YOUR house. YOU do what works best for YOU and when she has Thanksgiving at her house, she can do things her way. In the meantime I'll be praying for you. Keep us posted.

God bless -
