Suzann, I'm over to the west a bit in Rochester.

Amie, Where do you live up there? I have a daughter in Ithaca and a son just outside of Syracuse near Manlius so I get up there often.

Bridget, how much snow does Ligonier usually get in a winter? Does it stay all winter long, or just a few inches and then it melts till next time?

Up here in the "snow belt" I get a lot of dirty looks because I love the first snow every year! Everybody else is like, oh man, here we go again, we're stuck now until May! The three cities around here (Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse) have an annual Snowfall Derby - the weather people keep track of how many inches each city gets over the winter and they keep a running tally in the paper. We don't tend to get huge dramatic blizzards here, but it snows pretty much every day all winter long.

How lucky you are! We've only had snow flurries here, nothing measurable yet. I love winter and nothing is more special then the first real snow!

Wow! We definitely don't have any snow here yet. It will probably be a few weeks until we're even close to it. We just started getting frost in the night and mornings. It still feels pretty cold to me though.

Cool Ada! I forgot my aunt in NC said they had a few and it was cold there. She's like we're not built down here for the cold :-p

We had snow flurries here in south central KY last night. They stuck to the leaves in the yard. Was a pretty site.

We already got our flurries about a week ago. Nothing stuck but we did the maintainence on the snow blower. I think Burlington got some real snow; but that's why we moved to tropical southern Vermont.

It's been colder than normal and quicker for snow to last and stay lately!
