Posted - Nov 16 2008 : 04:55:40 AM Kathie, I am in awe of your thrift shop treasures and of course your bargaining techniques. Monday morning Zan and I head to midcoast Maine for a day of thrifting with my old friend Mat. He knows the location of many great places to forage through, and he'll do the driving, even better. Now my daughter and I just need to clean all the crap out of my car to make space for the newer crap.....I of course plan on finding some treasure as well...

Posted - Nov 15 2008 : 8:02:15 PM Nancy Jo has inspired me too kathie, I love to Thriftshop! You got some mega-great bargains there.. I stopped in to the Goodwill today (*cause I was in the neighborhood). Did I say I drove by there on purpose? oops..Anyways I found two fabric doll patterns ( $.89 each)and I got a complete Deluxe Cookie press & cake decorating set for $ 1.99 Perfect condition in the box. Now I have to make cookies..Hubby was waiting in the car, he had on his "passenger" hat today, not the "shopper" hat.. so I had to skim the place really quickly.
