Posted a few pictures because I have to. Pretty soon I will be taking pictures of the inside of the neighbors houses.
Guess this is out last beautiful fall day. Still 70 out. but the 40's and lower are coming for the next week .
Well off to do a bit more raking. I'm getting pretty good at this. Richard usually does it all, but with his shoulder surgery, and he is up working at the rental property everyday I thought I better get myself out there and rake. I just put all the leaves on a big tarp and then drag them out to the road.

What a sweet old rocker, I love that it is an heirloom too, that is always so special. Somewhere, probably in the barn , I have my great grandmother's rocker from when she was a child, it is a little black painted one with a cane seat. I had that Abraham Lincoln book when I was a kid, one of my favorites. I iknow I got a copy for my kids because my mother gave all my childhood books to my older half sister for her children. My kids saved every book they ever got, books are such wonderful things, and the memories they conjure up are special. Your house looks so lovely, and you do have a flair for decorating for sure! I can't wait till you bust into the neighbors' houses and get some shots from there....

It is warm here, but i had to go in town to get a new battery for my car and it is solid fog in Belfast. So strange in the middle of the day....fog makes everything so mysterious to me,

Well, back to the laundry room to enjoy doing laundry at home. Zan and I are going out to supper with old friends tonight who have come up from Massachusetts to close up their island cottage for the winter. They are very dear to me, and no one has to cook. What fun...

Nancy, You have a real flare for decorating.. I love your blogsite.. You are a true inspiration. I love those chickens too.. I had a friends young daughter 11 yrs ask me " Why do you have this obsession with chickens!" As she looks around my kitchen & diningroom. (out of the mouths of Babes huh?)I couldn't help laughing.. Well... I Like chickens & I am going to have real ones in the spring!
Since you have raking chore....Have you pressed any of those leaves?
I picked up a few & they are currently inside a book pressing. I have plans to use them in a frame later...
